We started the 'Jayamahal Clean-up Drive' in May this year. The garbage near the transformer on 1st Main was cleared by BBMP & now a whole lot of plants are growing in that area :)
Since then we have been cleaning up roads every Tuesday & Thursday. ( BBMP is not doing it ) They had promised to send a truck once a week to clear away the debris collected from the road we have been cleaning.
Here's the reality - BBMP has NOT sent a debris pick-up truck even once. The department's Engineer & AEE always say that the truck has to go to the VVIP area ??!! (Wonder which VVIP generates so much debris, that need to be collected every single day, from the last 6 months !!!)
Finally cijma arranged for a private pick-up of two tipper loads and cleared the debris from 5th Main-3rd Cross, 5th Main-5th Cross, 1st Main-1st Cross, 4th Main & 3 places on 1st Main.
( There's a lot more, specially on 2nd Main, near the minister's quarters )
