Door to Door Campaign for Segregation of waste & Prevention of Dumping on roads

The Door to Door Campaign almost did not happen.......due to heavy rain.
We had planned to start by 8.50 AM.
At 8.45 there was still a heavy drizzle & we almost cancelled our programme.  Within the next few minutes, the sky cleared up.  We quickly called back the volunteers & gathered in Gulabi Girl's High School where 119 ninth graders were enthusiastically waiting for us !
11 groups were formed under 15 CIJMA volunteers & all households & commercial establishments were visited.  The students assisted by the volunteers did a wonderful job of educating the residents & house hold help about segregation of waste & not dumping garbage on roads & side walks.

CIJMA thanks the Principal, Sr. Cynthia, the teachers & students.  This campaign would not have been possible without their help.  THANK YOU for helping in our "Jayamahal Clean-Up Drive"

We also appreciate the volunteers for taking the time out from their busy schedule on a Saturday morning -
THANK YOU Sushma Karnawat, Sarita Dev, Ranjana Malik, Dipti Patel, Sarala Shetty, Sunita Karamchandani, Saima, Shobha Shridaran, Shameem Khan, Pushpa Datar & Vatsala Srinivasan.

Here are some pictures of the students in action :)
