Clean up of 5th Cross, 5th Main

5th Cross, 5th Main was also cleaned on Wednesday, 21.8.13.

Glad to say that the 5th Cross was not as bad as some of the other roads.  Residents said they periodically supervised the PK who cleaned the road.  Our area will be a clean one if only more residents do this on their stretch of road !

Update on 4th Cross, 5th Main

We got the 4th Cross, 5th Main cleaned on Wednesday, 21.8.13. 
Below is a picture of a vacant site on this road which is being used as a dump yard.  There have been several cases of dengue, especially among the school children.  If you can, please contact the owner & request for a high compound wall to be raised.

Clean-Up of 1st cross ( between Nandidurg Road & Jayamahal 1st Main )

Hi, 
Manjunath from BBMP had this road cleaned up yesterday !  Unfortunately ( or should it read 'fortunately' ) I do not have the 'Before' pictures and it was messy like all the other roads !

The first two pictures are of the stretch that was cleaned up by cijma and plants planted to prevent people from dumping garbage there.  This idea has worked so well that we are doing the same in a number of places and getting the residents adopt the plants. 

First taste of success !!
